Listening Sessions
Built around vinyl, conversation and comfortable listening, each session lets the record take centre stage uninterrupted in an intimate, lounge-style setting with curated beverages and small plates.
Blockheads is inspired by the kissa bars of 1960s Japan - intimate spaces where music wasn't background noise, it was the reason you came. We've built that idea into a space that pairs high-fidelity vinyl listening with considered food and coffee. For audiophiles, for curious first-timers, for anyone who wants an afternoon that sounds as good as it tastes. The cozy little spot you didn't know you needed - until you did.

Long lunches, longer sides. The light goes soft and so does the tempo.
The whole listing, exactly as it reads in the room - burgers and small plates on one side, coffee and the sweet end on the other. Take it with you, or hand it round the table.

We take after Japan's listening bars, where a room is tuned like an instrument and the record chosen for the hour sets the pace of everything else - how you speak, how long you stay, how the coffee and food tastes.
Vinyl asks for patience. It crackles, it warms, it ends and has to be turned. That friction is the point. In a world that scrolls faster every year, we wanted a place you can touch, hear and feel - where a side of music is something you sit through, not skip.
So the collection is curated, not shuffled. Afternoons start bright and unhurried. And once the light drops, the room reads a different sleeve entirely.
Take a seat in our listening corner and experience vinyl at your own pace. Choose a record from our collection, place the needle yourself, and enjoy an uninterrupted session in a cozy setting with your food and drink.

Not the beginning of the night. The middle of it.
When the record has changed, the room has settled, and the people remaining chose to stay.
